WINDOWS 7 RUNS ON PIII?
Hello, I have and old proliant 360DL G1 with dual 1GHZ PIII processors, 1GB RAM and dual 4GB 10K RPM SCSI H.D.s
The question is; will W7 run decently in this a machine or should I just get a used PIV??
The problem being that I need to revive this old machine to do just one task and I don't wanna spend a lot of money for an application that I will use only once or twice a week for no more than an hour each time. THnaks
I think not. Its just that your system is too old.
Your CPU and RAM met the minimum requirements but not the hard drive (you need 16GB minimum).
I have some friends who are still using Pentium 4 to run Win 7 but it's not as smooth compared to modern PC systems.
